The PROBLEM
Fragmented Sleep
It is estimated that 30 million Americans have Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and it often goes untreated. OSA is a disease more prevalent than asthma and equally as prevalent as diabetes. Early detection and effective treatment are crucial to managing this condition and reducing the associated risks.
At night numerous times per hour, adults that are suffering from OSA are pulled out of their sleep cycle by a lack of breath. Some may snore loudly and wake up gasping for air, and others may not even notice that they have in fact stopped breathing for seconds (or even minutes!) at a time. In either case, they feel they've had a poor night's sleep.
Left untreated, sleep apnea can have significant health consequences, including an increased risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and diabetes. It also impacts overall quality of life, affecting personal relationships, work performance, and mental well-being.

Treatments
Traditional treatments for Sleep Apnea include Invasive Surgeries such as uvulopalatopharyngoplasy that reconstruct your upper airways, CPAP Therapy that forces continuous oxygen using a mask, and Oral Appliance Therapy.
Invasive Surgery is a permanent solution, but unfortunately can be an expensive one. With it comes significant risk, potential for complications and a long recovery period.
CPAP Therapy is effective and non-invasive, but many cannot tolerate the cumbersome mask, hose and the loud machine while they sleep. Almost 50% of CPAP users terminate their treatment within 2 years, attributing discomfort, dry throat and skin irritation as their main reasons for non-compliance.
Oral Appliance Therapy alternatively, utilizes a simple removable oral device, similar to a nightguard or retainer that by design opens the sleeper's airway while minimally disrupting their night-time habits and allowing them a restful night's sleep.
OUR SOLUTION
Oral Appliance Therapy
Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) has been getting more attention in the last decade as more studies release showing that OAT reduces risks of heart-related death, lowers blood pressure, improves cognitive function and relieves debilitating symptoms in patients with Sleep Apnea, all with a high long-term rate of compliance.
